I wrote this blog during a year that my wife Annette, our two daughters and I recently spent living in Berlin, Germany.  The initial inspiration for the blog posts was to share with family, friends and acquaintances a few snippets of our life there.

In addition to personal posts about family activities, the blog contains photos and comments about other things that I found interesting.  Some posts are about sights or experiences that simply struck my fancy; others relate to subjects about which I am passionate, including high performance building construction and sustainable living.
